Spiritual Enrichment

As a faith based institution, Clarewood House provides a wide variety of services for our residents. There is a chapel in which interdenominational services are held each Sunday. The chapel is also used by various other denominations for services specific to their needs. Bible Studies are offered on a weekly basis, taught by our chaplain and devotional periods are scheduled weekly in the Assisted Living and Extended Care Center areas. Seasonal services are offered, and like all other activities of the chapel, are open to all residents. Memorial services are held at the request of families and grief support is provided on an as needed basis to individuals. The goal of our chapel and chaplaincy services is to provide spiritual enrichment in any of the ways that are appropriate to our residents. Our chaplain makes regular visits to our residents when they are hospitalized and often consults with family members regarding the needs of residents when they are unable to speak for themselves. A weekly newsletter is produced by our chaplain that seeks to inspire conversation and growth in the community of Clarewood House. We take very seriously our responsibility to the residents, with regard to providing a nurturing and responsive set of programs to meet their needs.
